We have many, many pictures of Breckenridge. It's funny because I take a lot of pictures on each visit and when they roll by on my screen saver, I'm still amazed of the beauty (and that I took the pictures). Here are some for your enjoyment.

Breckenridge Peak 9

Maggie Pond & Quick Silver

With a partially frozen Maggie Pond in the fore-ground, on the lower left of this picture, you can see a foot bridge which you would walk over about 600 feet from our vacation rental. From there you can see the easy walk to the Quick Silver Super 6 Chair lift. The Super 6 base can ge seen as the glass-looking half dome on the right of the picture. The Quick Silver is typically the first Breckenridge chairlift that is open in the ski season.

On the right, not pictured, is The Maggie, where you can purchase lift tickets, Ski & Ride lessons, get ski rentals and equipment. You can store your ski's overnight for just $5. Of course, there's a coffee place, cafeteria style restaunt, a bar and outdoor seating for your enjoyment. I love to get a breakfast borrito there before starting my ski day.

Ski Runs at Peak 9

It's snowing as I took this picture from across Maggie Pond. Again, you can see the foot bridge in the lower left of the picture which you would walk over to catch the Quick Silver Super 6 (you may be able to see the chairs with good eyes on the left center!). Peak 9 is made up of Green runs (the easiest) and Blues, but also has chairlift access to Peak 8, Peak 10 and Peak 7 without a car or bus. You simply take chairlifts.

 

 

 

 

Around Town

Breckenridge Riverwalk

Covered in a blanket of snow, the Breckenridge Riverwalk is beautiful. This picture is from inside the Mi Casa restaurant. (December 2007)

 

 

 

 

This is a picture of the Dredge Restaurant, said to be the highest altitude floating restaunt. It was taken in December 2007 from the window at Mi Casa Restaurant -- one of our local favorites and an easy walk in any weather from our rental condo!
